Mark Jaquess

Mark was hired by Ron Royse the first week the store opened.  He had worked as an apprentice cabinet maker and painter before joining Tigard Music.  The retail hours were a perfect fit while he was earning his business degree at Portland State University.

Mark’s Father gave him a real appreciation for tools and over the years many of the displays have been refurbished or built by Mark and Ron.  Mark likes to repair and set up string and percussion instruments.  He also looks forward to making service calls to the many schools that deal with Tigard Music.

His roll changed after the store moved to the Tigard Fred Meyer Center.  He accepted more of the day to day management responsibilities until Ron declared him Store Manager.  When we installed the new computer network and point of sale software he became the IT guy.  Mark’s favorite part of his job is educating people about the products we sell.

He studied percussion through high school and then decided to try guitar.  In addition to guitar he is a founding member, bass and vocals, of The Narly Righteous Dudes.  He enjoys RVing with friends and family, playing music, and generally being outdoors.  Mark has dabbled with acting and has had two modeling jobs.
